What is it? The oobu restoreVault is an appliance that performs three functions.
- Firstly it performs a local disc based backup.
- Secondly, it replicates that backup to an offsite secure datacenter
- Thirdly it 'pre-recovers' the protected servers & network into a virtual environment inside the appliance itself which means that replacing a failed server can be as simple as starting a virtual machine.
Pre-recovering your servers takes the pressure off repairs by reducing downtime and allowing business to continue during a machine failure.
This unique approach allows the restoreVault to provide a traditional, high speed, disc based backup, but also provides an on-site DR function as well as providing an off site DR data copy.
