I have run a computer and network support company for over 15 years and during that time, setup my own remote backup system. It worked well, and allowed my customers to relax, and leave the backup process in my capable hands. I ran the backup service for 5 years, during which I had a few heart-stopping moments due to hardware failure or bad housekeeping. Over the period it just about covered it's costs.
In 2008 I was approached by oobu, and decided to transfer my customers over to their backup service. The account was setup, and the transfer process took a few weeks to complete. From that point on, the daily backup process has been so much easier to manage and control. I spend a few minutes every day checking the backup logs and if anything needs attention it can be dealt with from the control panel.
The biggest difference is in the restore process - it is very clear and fast, and allows access to previous editions of the files.
In summary, oobu's package works well, is profitable to me, and their support has been exceptional.
